Kitchen layout advice I am using SH3D to layout my first floor, but am finding it challenging to do the kitchen, and could use some advice on tools/workflow. I found that laying out the components in SH3D is not that easy since there are objects on top of each other, and I can only edit in 2D. For instance, I have a very irregular counter, and created it in Sketchup. WHen I import into SH3D, it's a huge square, and all the floor cabinets are underneath it, so if I want to move the cabinets around, I need to move the counter out of the way, and then put it back when I'm done. Because of the difficulties, I have been creating the layout of all the objects in the kitchen in Sketchup, and importing the whole thing into SH3D, which works ok, but I loose some texture information. Can anyone who has gone through designing a kitchen in SH3D give me some advice on the best workflow? |
