Re: "gray block" problem when dropping in furnature ..... Installed 4.0 ..... still the same problem. I must be missing something. I made a wall. Gave it shingles on one side and a color on the other. I exported it as an obj file. I went into my house file. I imported the roof ( wall section ) as furniture. Even at this point when you get to the screen that asked you to orient the part I can already see the slanted wall section and a gray block at the end of it! I finish importing it. If I look at it from one end, I see a gray rectangular box at then end of the wall. If the wall section was "flat" you may not ever notice it but because mine is at an angle, it starts at one corner of the wall and goes to the other with the wall a diagonal from corner to corner. One interesting point, when I rotate the model the block is only visible for 180 deg of the rotation ... then it disappears, only to re-appear when I get to the next 180 deg mark! What am I doing wrong? It is an odd thing to describe so if anyone wants my file to see what I am taking about please let me know and I can e-mail it to them. Thanks .... Mike |
