Re: Closing walls above door openings
Emmanuel Puybaret,

I did use the doors and windows provided with the program but I used them in a different way than is intended because my plan view (background) that I scanned into the 2D pane had interruptions in the walls where the doors are and I slavishly followed those interruptions when I made the walls. It actually works pretty well because when I dragged and dropped a door into one of those interruptions the wall closed up around it except at the top. I then found you can pull the wall right over the top if you keep things lined up well and it results in a seamless door in the wall. Now that I've become aware of how it was intended to be done, i.e., drag and drop a door or window right into a solid wall, I use that method because it is far easier.

I got the doorless openings in walls that I was asking about by dragging and dropping door frames into the walls without putting any doors in the frames. It doesn't look exactly like the actual apartment I'm modeling because in the apartment there are no door frames in the openings but it's pretty close.
