Textures not displayed in Linux version (black and white triangles instead) I have installed the latest version of SH3D (4.1) on Windows 7 and on memory stick an on laptop with Lubuntu 10.4, and I created my first drawing, placed a few pieces of furniture, applied a few textures to the floor and walls etc., just to give it a go. I noticed that the test drawing I created looks fine on any Windows machine I tried. However, on my laptop, under linux, all the textures in 3D view are replaced with tiles made of rectangles split diagonally into black and white triangles. Unfortunatelly, as I am absolute beginner in Linux, and just installed it for testing, I don't even know how to make a screenshot, so I cannot post an image. I must point that the laptop is fairly old one (hence I installed linux, as under Windows it was painfully slow). Also, if I change textures into colours they are displayed fine, both on walls, floors and furniture. Is it something with the graphic card? I couldn't find any settings to change under linux. If I don't use textures, but colours instead, everything looks fine in 3D and laptop is fast enough for comfortable working. However, I want to use textures and work on laptop on my holidays, where I won't have internet access. Any idea where to look? ---------------------------------------- Nik |
