Fabulour program I know it's an old thread but I had the same problem and found a workaround that does not require the CopyAsNewFurniture plugin. Do the same steps as in Hans' tutorial and select the walls, but instead of CopyAsNewFurniture, choose "Export to OBJ format" under the "3D View" menu. It will prompt you for a filename to save your object to; choose a name e.g. roof (it automatically appends the .obj extension) When prompted, click "Export selection". Now, click "Import furniture" under the "Furniture" menu (just like you would any piece of furniture) and import your roof. When the furniture import wizard gives you the 4 perspective views, click the down arrow to change the perspective until it is oriented the way you want it. Then you just add the roof as any other piece of furniture. I suspect this is a known solution, but I didn't see it anywhere else when searching for how to create a roof. |
