Re: Can I draw/paint/write something on the surface of an object? @Puybaret: thank you very much for your quick reply! I do have to apologize again - I think I formulated my question not very well: Let's assume I have imported a simple cuboid with a given texture (wood), created by AOI and saved in OBJ format. This would be a very simple dummy for a wardrobe. To make it a little more realistic (without having to model each door and each plank as a single part in AOI), I wonder if I could paint some lines e. g. on the front of the box to indicate doors, handles, etc. I could do this in AOI or in SH3D. If I understand the linked discussion correctly, I could import a bitmap image as a texture for my cuboid. But would it be possible to apply it only to one of its six sides? Do I have to prepare the cuboid in some way in AOI to make it look different on the front than on its other sides or do I have to assemble it from 2 parts - a corpus and a front plate and give the front plate its own texture and material in AOI? |
