Re: cannot seem to start a new plan When using a background image, you have to make a connection between the size of the image, and the size of your design in SH3D. Step 1 - select and import the image Step 2 - select (in your mind) a line in the image of which the actual length is known (or of which you can be reasonably sure, e.g. length of a bed) Step 3 - use the adjustable line in SH3D (under Ubuntu it's blue, but colours may vary depending on your operating system) and align it with beginning and end of the line of known length (you can hold SHIFT to constrain the line to be exactly horizontal or vertical) Step 4 - in the top of the window enter the known length of the selected line. Step 5 - click NEXT Concerning the point of origin: Imagine there is a lot of unwanted white space around your background image. You can determine where the image appears in the background if you click in the image, thereby changing the 0,0 point in your design. Experiment a bit and you'll find out it's easy and useful.
