Re: Plans for redecoration bdfd. Tell us, what are the used parameters for your pictures ? Size of pictures ? Time of calculation ? Size of sh3d file ? The parameters. If you mean the settings, they vary a lot. Normally I use the default settings for quality 4 ; Blackman-Harris and Bucket, but for some of the pictures I have used Gaussian instead of Blackman-Harris. I find it to be a bit smoother. The antiAliasing setting is normally 1/2, but when i have reflective surfaces I increase it to 3/4. The images are originally rendered 1440 pixels wide. The height varies. I have downscaled the images to 960 px width ( with one accidental exception). The rendering time varies both with the settings and with the renderer. With the default renderer it takes between 5 - 10 minutes, but using the optional Simple Photo Renderer, it takes 15 -30 minutes. It might have something to do with the different way the bucket size is handled. The studio has a rendering farm with several Mac Pro 12-core computers connected with fiber-optical cables. When I use the default renderer, the rendering window is entirely covered by small different colored buckets, but when using the optional renderer, the buckets are a lot bigger and fewer, and works slower. I found this out just by chance, and I have not done any real testing of this. I prefer using the default renderer for interiors, and use the optional renderer for exteriors , since the enhance sky brightness sampling generally gives better results. The largest SH3D-file is 417,4 MB , including the exteriors. The work-file for the interior only, is 217,.1 MB. The file used for the HTML5 is 55.7 MB Hope this answers your questions. Xi |
