Re: Installind 2D objects in walls SH3D is made to do exactly what you are asking. You can draw a room or building to scale, then insert furniture. To make your own paintings, proceed as follows: 1 - select your image and note the size in cm or inch. 2 - insert a box and size it so that one face is the size of your painting, the thickness should be scaled down to, say, 5 cm or 2 inches 3 - elevate the box so that it "hangs" at the correct height 4 - select the box and do a right-click, select Modify furniture - Materials - Modify 5 - a window pops up in which you can apply a texture (=image) to all six faces of your cube; select front, then click texture 6 - a window pops up in which you can select a texture; click import, choose image, click Reduce size if it's too large, then click Continue 7 - next window appears: type a name, type or select a category, set the width to what you wrote down in step 1 (height follows automatically), click Finish 8 - click OK three times and you're done. ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |
