If sharp corners are not a problem, shape generator is easiest way to create trapezoidal box.
I feel that tutorial is not necessay: draw 3D-sketch of your shape on paper with all corners visible, then mark points in same manner as generator does. I hope that next picture help.
Handy feature is that generator remember your earlier coordinates, so it's easy to make fixes.
