Re: Renovations 3D for Android Hi, (this is a reply to myself; in case anyone else is looking for a laser measure solution) I am returning my Bosch for a Leica Disto D1 https://www.amazon.com/Leica-DISTO-Distance-Measure-Bluetooth/dp/B01M5CW7CT/ The main reason being that Leica Disto series has a Windows App https://shop.leica-geosystems.com/disto-transfer-software-pc the software essentially enables HID functionality, where you start the program, and pair your laser measure. Once the connection is established, whatever text box the cursor is sitting in can be populated from the laser measure. There is a pretty neat examples with it working with Excel for measuring windows, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGf42IoApt4 However, a user testing the D8 couldn't get his Disto to work with Autocad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMbn4Ur83N8 I am hoping that it will let me collect the measurements in SW3d. That said, one of the items that I have not been able to figure out, is how to adjust a dimensioning line, based on an input. It would be nice to be able to adjust dimensioning line properties like a wall, where you could set the length. In this way, using the laser, the input would change the length, and then you could move it to get the wall to the right lengths. Maybe there is an easier way, I am overlooking. d |
