Re: How about sharing textures?Well, for convienience's sake (yours as well as ours), I would prefer a direct upload to your site, without the detour via sourceforge.net. You could post a large disclaimer about copright issues that pops up for every uploader. If you would rather do it via the same channel as furniture (sourceforge), then that won't stop me from uploading either , because it's your call of course, as you are responsible for the whole thing. As for copyright, I am the author of the photographs and the post-processing (tiling) of my textures, but of course I am not responsible for the original design of the objects I photographed. I don't know how picky tile manufacuturers are about people photographing their products for CAD purposes... then again, many tiles are so generic that it's impossible to tell the manufacturer and the exact model. I have my textures as square PNG graphics in resolutions up to 1000x1000(to avoid lossy compression), but I am ready to convert them into any standard size and format that you choose for your website - even if it means tackling that SH3T format of yours @hansmex: thanks for posting these links. I will post my textures on one of them sooner or later if it doesn't work out here, but of course I would much prefer to do it here, because that's easiest to find for SH3D users. |
