Re: U-shape Roof top tiles You can create a single tile with a box and a cylinder. Move the cylinder halfway into the box and you have your U-shape. What I often do is create such a thing 10 or 100 times as big as the end result should be. That makes it easier to move the parts in the correct position. Export it and when you import it adjust the size to the required size (/10 or /100). You can use a box as the base of your roof and then put on the tiles. The box makes is easier to determine the correct angle needed for the tiles. That said, you really want to create a roof by 'laying' single tiles to get a full roof? That's a lot of tiles and a lot of work. On the other hand, the end result should look awesome with real height differences on the roof and not an illusion through a texture.
