Re: Feat. Req: Layers for different things
Hans,

Very impressive tutorial!

Myself being a shareware author of a wine cellar book I am well aware of what it means developing software and I very very very much appreciate the work done by Emmanuel on this program.

I have used other 3D/2D CAD applications before, but they are all way to complicated for me and basically require that one knows how to draw things - I am very bad at that and the approach of SH3D works much better for me.

I am not looking to design a house, but have smaller projects I like to be able to plan. Currently it is a wood fired bread oven (see below for links) and doing this I found that being able to "hide" things would be very handy. E.g. I have it all designed with the roof on top, now I like to make some changes, which means I have to move the roof and other elements away to be able to get at things.

O.K. the roof I figured out that I just need to group it and hide it, but I have a similar issue with a wall which hides things.

All frankly no big deal but if I would use SH3D more often and for larger projects I think layers (or "visibility groups" smile ) would be very nice and useful to have.

Thanks again to Emanuell for having created this and also to you for being an active Forum member giving tips to others.

Werner
