Great additions Dorin! The added polylines for the 2D view make it clear which part starts at the bottom and which part ends at the top.
Personally I don't use the staircase generator much because I custom create all my staircases. I mainly use it to calculate the dimensions
The one thing that I think it needs most is a way to vary the post/baluster/handrail types. You can create a dozen different staircases but they will still all look more or less the same because all balusters, posts, and handrails are the same. I'm not sure if this is difficult or even possible.
