How do i make PRECISE lengths of walls? Hello, I just started using this program and im already getting frustrated by the.. "simplicity" of it. So, when we have a wall as part of a room, there is what i would call the "outside length" of the wall, which is the length of the wall, measure from outside the roon and there is what i would call the "inside length" of the wall, which is the length of the wall measured from inside the room. These measurements are different, given that the walls have a thickness above 0. When looking at a walls "Distance between end points" it is measured between those two points, given it is connected to another wall at it's end. I would like to create a floorplan as precise as possible. However, all my measurements are from inside the rooms / "inside length" of the walls. This means that i have to calculate how much to add and/or subtract each wall, whenever i create it. If, as part of a room, i create a wall that is 1000mm long, because my measurements are of the "inside length" of the wall, then, when the room is finished, i don't have a wall with a "inside length" of 1000mm. This is getting much more advanced when introducing multiple wall thicknesses, which there usually is between external and internal walls. I thought and hoped so much that the "Create Dimensions" function would help, by locking it to the side of walls, so it would move with the walls, but no. I must be doing something wrong. Please tell me how to correct this, how to do this right, so i can easily have a precise floorplan. |
