Is there a way to draw cables and pipes inside the walls? I would like to draw cables (electric, coax, etc) and pipes inside the walls, the way they will go IRL, not outside the walls. I think this would be helpful so I can see exactly where everything is and plan out exactly what path to run the cables and pipes through. However when I attempt to move an object to inside a wall, it automatically locks onto one of the wall surfaces. So I cannot draw anything inside the walls. I have tried using this imported coax and the first electric wire here. The imported coax .dae file doesn't show up the way I want it to - it shows up as a reel of coax, which is not what I need, I was expecting it to show up as, you know, a length of coax cable the way it looks when you unroll it - but that's another problem. The main problem I want to find a solution for is why does it not go inside the walls. The electric wire object I downloaded directly from SweetHome also does not go inside the walls. I think I've looked everywhere but have not been able to find any option in the menus which would allow me to make objects go inside the walls. I even watched this video of drawing pipes. It looks like he has some of the pipes inside the walls, which he has made transparent. So if he can do it, there must be a way to do it. Perhaps I don't know where to look? I'm probably missing something obvious. |
