Re: I am having trouble doing roofing I don't know how the directory structure on Windows is organized. I am on Linux and from looking at the images some things seem different. Generally there are two parts: the Sweet Home 3D installation and your projects. The Sweet Home 3D installation should be the same if you re-install or install on a different machine. There are some things that you will miss like the last used colors/textures in the modify dialogs. On Linux it is no problem to completely copy the install directory as a backup but I don't know if that would work on Windows. From what I remember from many, many years ago Windows does some registry things which makes simple copying not enough. On my Linux install plugins are simply copied to a plugin directory. I don't know if that is the same on Windows. Your projects remain where they are, if you did it right they are NOT included in the Sweet Home 3D directory tree but in a separate directory you created yourself. You can back up your projects by simply copying them to a backup directory.
