How to edit the width of the casing around doors? When the width of a door is set to 32", the width of the door's swing in the Aerial View is actually only about 29". The door model consists of a swing and a frame, and the swing appears to be 90% the width of the model, leaving 5% of frame on either side to act as sort-of door jambs. This means in order to get a specific swing the user has to manually pad the width of the door, which is inconvenient and throws off the measurements between the door and neighboring walls. It also means the thickness of the jambs scales with the width of the door model, whereas in real life almost all manufactured jambs have the same standard thickness regardless of the width of the door This is a problem when trying to plan out a room accurately, especially when there is very little tolerance between the swing of the door and an obstacle in the room. Is there a way to modify just the frame of the door model? Or does anyone have a frame-less door model handy? |
