Re: How to edit the width of the casing around doors? You can't change the dimensions of only part of a model. Although you can create models with Sweet Home 3D it is not designed for this. The options are limited. You will have to either create your own model or split the model and change the part(s), then combine again. Splitting into parts can be done by material name. Make all materials invisible except the part you want to isolate. When you export only the visible part(s) will be exported. Restore the orginal model and do the same for other parts. Now you can import each part and adjust the dimensions for each part. For the door you mentioned this will be very difficult to do because the frame will resize as a complete frame, not the tickness of the sides and top. Maybe the easiest way for your problem is to make the frame invisible and export the rest. Import and during import check "Door or window". You now have a frameless door. You can adjust the width and height as you want. If you stil want a frame but with your own size you can create that with three boxes in the exact dimensions you want. You can even place the resized door in that new frame and export everything together. Import again with checking "Door or window". If the door has deformations for opening you should be able to keep that with export/import if you only remove the frame. If the door was imported from a library it probably had sashes to display the opening curve. You will loose that because that is defined in the library, not in the model definition. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
