Problem: Cannot access old Furniture data filesProblem: Cannot access old Furniture data files I recently installed Sweet Home 3D v7.5 under Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 build 1945.5854 (the most recent update) SH3D doesn't seem to see any my old Furniture data files, of which I have many, dating back to 2014 and SH3D v5.4. What's the easiest way to import them all? Background: I followed Emmanuel Puybar's instructions at https://sourceforge.net/p/sweethome3d/bugs/1301/ to find the current furniture folder: In particular, I downloaded and imported the library 3DModels-Reallusion-1.9.3. It was put in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture and the Character models that it defines showed up fine. I exited from SH3D and copied the contents of my old data/furniture directory into that new furniture direcrory. I restarted SH3D 7.5. I didn't see any error messages, but none of the old models show up in SH3D's Furniture pane. As best I can determine, the old furniture models are fine and not corrupted: Some of the old furniture definitions consist of just a .obj and accompanying .mtl file. I checked several of those models in my 3D modelling package of choice (Anim8or) and I had no problems viewing them. Some of the old furniture definitions consist of .zip files containing a .obj and accompanying .mtl file. I checked a couple of them and they showed up in Anim8or, too. Some of the old furniture definitions consist of .sh3f files. I also loaded an old .sh3d file that had been created with SH3D 5.4, which incorporated some of those old furniture models into SH3D 7.5 and it worked fine. (I understand that loading an old sh3d file uses furniture models which had been included within that sh3d file, so it's NOT a check of the current furniture files being loaded.) Thanks for whatever help you can provide. ---------------------------------------- Selden |
