Re: advancedrendering-1.6 Poul, 1 - Version 3.0 b14 has the plug-in built-in. So when in SH3D v3.0 b14 you click 3D view --> Create photo and you will see a pop-up window where you can choose how your picture should look. You should also look at Plan --> Modify compass to set up your location on the globe (longitude, latitude) as that influences where the sun will be in your design. 2 - I also have a Windows laptop (Vista) which I rarely use. But, the way >I< installed the plug-ins there was just copying them into the directory where they are supposed to be, and then re-start SH3D. It worked for me. Maybe you should give it a try that way. And (better safe than sorry) download them afresh! The plug-ins were NOT designed to work with v3.0, but with v2.0 (or 2.1, 2.2 etc). They may (or not) work in v3.0, but is has been reported that there has been a change in the directory structure (or something) between v2.6 and v3.0. Seen that v3.0 has not been published yet, and still has beta status, we cannot yet test that. I also have 3.0 beta 14 and you said it basically does the same using the create photo - 3D setting, so I thought I would go with that. But I did not get the advancedrendering 1.6 plugin to work. I said something else: So, you have to choose: - use the installed version 2.6 and the Adv.Render plug-in, or - use the newer v3.0 b14 and use 3D view --> Create photo , which basically gives you the same possibilities and quality, but now built into the program Now, please, read this twice, and make sure you understand the difference. The keywords are "you have to choose" and "or".Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |
