Re: Java platform SE binary not responding Well Java 6 Update 3 is quite old now. It could be a good idea to install a more recent version like Java 6 update 24. been to http://www.java.com/fr/download/chrome.jsp?locale=fr&host=www.java.com installed java 6 update 24 (have the impression I've done that before). Control panel -> Programs: There are now two "javas 6": the old update 3 (from "Sun") te new update 24 (from "Oracle") Whoops. But... same error. Uninstalled update 3. Launched SH3D, same error. Uninstalled update 24, same error, reinstalled Java 6 update 24 "alone"... same error. One funny thing is, other java programs work - at all times (java 6 installed or not!) Anyway, the point where all went wrong was when I tried SH3D online, and the browser installed add-ons and failed doing so... then the installed SH3D stopped working at that point. I'll be using SH3D on a 13' MacBook laptop, but the small screen defeats most of its purpose. Cheers, A. Seghir |
