How to color walls?
In SweetHome3D help there are pictures of homes with colored walls. I don't know how to color walls?

Re: How to color walls?
When you double-click a wall, a dialog box
propose to color the left side (outside) and right side (interior) of the wall.

Re: How to color walls?
That's it, thanks. But how to remove coloring if one doesn't need it anymore? When you choose color you cannot remove it, just change to other color.

Re: How to color walls?
At this time, you can remove color only with an undo operation.
But the default color is just white with a dark grey ambiant color. If you choose a grey color, you should obtain the same effect.

Re: How to color walls?
Hello.
I've got a problem with changing wall colors.
I tried many times double-clicking on the wall and I tried to click by right mouse button and choose "modify walls", but it doesn't work. :( Have somebody an idea, why it behaves like that?

PS - I'm sorry if I made any mistake, I hope you can understand what I mean. My English is not very good and I don't trust GoogleTranlate. ;)

Re: How to color walls?
You don't give much information...

- What is the operating system of your computer? Windows, Mac, Linux?
- Which version number of SH3D are you using?
- Are you using the installed version or the webstart version?
- Which version of Java are you using?
- Does the problem occur with walls that you are drawing in a new design?
- Does the problem occur in a file you have made before, and now try to modify?
- If it's an "old" file, did you transfer it from one computer to another?
- If the problem occurs in a file, you may send it to me and I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.

These questions may help to determine the problem.

Re: How to color walls?
Please, install Java, display Java console, run the program with Java Web Start link and report here what is displayed in Java console.

Re: How to color walls?
How many details!
1. Windows 7
2. Installed version of SH3D 3.3, but in webstart version problem occurs too.
3. Java 6
4. Problem occurs in both cases.
5. The "old" file was made on my computer.

The problem occurs in many files, so I don't think that's problem with file. :)

Re: How to color walls?
Ok, but what text appears in the Java console?

Re: How to color walls?
The text does not appear. There simply nothing happens.

In case a search also leads someone else here looking for an answer to 'How do I reset the wall colour back to default?'. My work around is to click the 'Texture' button (but don't set any texture) and then 'OK'.
