Light sources First of all, thank you for the soft! I'm using it for 3 months now to plan my apt and it saves me a lot of work and makes my project more real :) The only problem I have is with light sources. I'm working a lot on the concept of wall colors and the current settings are making it hardly usable. Basically, my walls are 240cm tall, and I want it to keep ratio to analyze how the colors will look, but with walls at 240cm, the light source is too low and majority of the apt (which is quite small I admit - 50m2) is in the shadow. I read while searching for the topic on this site that there should be a separate light source per each room, but I don't have it on my images and I miss it a lot :) Examples of what it looks like (yes, I have multiple rooms inside) - http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/816/zgoda2october.png - http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/884/zgoda2october2.png - http://www.uploadgeek.com/share-35E8_4AD769E7.html I can see several solutions to this: * Ability to "switch off" lighting and just see everything without shadows in full colors * Add "luminescence" as an ability for furniture (that would be awesome!) * Add more lights and put them around (like in blender) * Move the default "light" source above the apt, very high. |

Re: Light sources Additonally to this, It would be nice to have an option to tell where the major light source is located, e.g. the Sun. Or the possibility to rotate all marked objects by 90° clockwise and counterclockwise. Currently I must see that the rendered light is not coming from the side it is usually coming in reality in my flat. I understand that this very much leads to 3D export for post treatment with other renderers ![]() |

Re: Light sources Or the possibility to rotate all marked objects by 90° clockwise and counterclockwise. Try the Home Rotator Plug-in developed by Michel Mbem. Read also the end of the user's guide for more information about plug-ins . ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
