Re: Octagon To draw a room in the shape of a regular octagon, you can: 1- select the plan (focus) 2- position the first point of the room 3- move the cursor to the second point 4- press the enter key 5- modify the length (4m) 6- press the tab key 7- modify the angle (0° or -22.5°) 8- press the enter key 9- press the tab key 10- modify the angle (135°) 11- press the enter key 12- repeat steps 9 to 11 until your room is closed 13- press the escape key You can use the AdvancedEditing.sh3p plug-in to move or rotate your room. regular octagon room.jpg ---------------------------------------- EnkoNyito |

Re: Octagon 1 - Click the walls icon 2 - Click on any point in the 2D window 3 - Hit ENTER 4 - Enter 0,0 as X,Y coordinates (or any other starting point you want, use TAB in between) 5 - Hit ENTER and the wall will stretch horizontally to the right from the starting coordinate 6 - Overwrite the suggested wall length 7 - Hit TAB and enter 135 degrees as angle 8 - Overwrite wall thickness if necessary 9 - hit ENTER 10 - repeat steps 5-9 seven times, SH3D will suggest the same wall length, change angle to 135 degrees - you will note that using TAB is enough to go to wall angle, then ENTER is enough to complete each step) 11 - after 7th repetition octagon is ready, on ENTER the last wall segment will join the first segment (PS - I tried it twice after reading my text, it should work as described) H ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |
