Where is your zero, zero (0,0) origin point? Wondering where everyone draws their house plan in relation to origin (0,0). I realize I've drawn mine so the front of the house and everything in the Y direction is always negative, with (0,0) at the: 1. Back rear corner of the house, and 2. Positioned at the outside wall boundary. https://imgur.com/a/1hbLo8z How do other people position their designs in relation to the origin? Do you go with outside wall, or inside wall? |

Re: Where is your zero, zero (0,0) origin point? If you draw walls following a real plan imported as background image you are constrainted to place them in a specific quadrant, so there is no choice. However you can always select everything and drag it elsewhere, and even rotate the home with the advanced editing plugin. Beside this I think the only thing that could have some relevance is to have everything in the same quadrant so that you can calculate distances keeping into account only the modulus of the coordinates ignoring the sign... But is just for convenience, not a real need. |
