copy level and seperate
Hi.
I have been using sh3d for a few months and am extremely happy with it, thanks to all who make this happen!

I have multiple levels and 1 level I want to have a few variants, I can easily add another level at same elevation but what I want to achieve is that the 2 should not be connected, if I delete a wall in 1 it should not effect the other, is there a way to do this?

Many thanks.

Re: copy level and seperate
Welcome on the forum,
You could reorganize your design with 3 levels at the same elevation: one would contain walls, the other two levels the two variants with furniture that you would make unviewable alternatively.

Re: copy level and seperate
thanks for your response, it is walls that I want to change between the variants. I am very reluctant to save as a separate file as then I cannot track the changes on the other levels, I already have 7 different files and each time I make a change which applies to all I need to make the same change in 7 files.. it would would be amazing if I could have it all in 1 file.

If its not possible at the moment how likely is it that "untracked" levels might be added as a feature?

Many thanks

Replacing "walls" with "furniture" in Puybaret answer:

Re: copy level and seperate
Just tried it and you can build walls on each level at the same elevation separately. Just make the other levels invisible. The changes you make on the visible layer will not influence the invisible ones.

I will try that, many thanks to you all.
