Re: Plug in RotateHome
You can find the plugin here

Under Windows: double-click the plugin and it will self-install. Activiation after restart.

Not sure if that works under Ubuntu. What works is this:
- go to Help - > About - > Libraries
-a- if any plugins are installed, click on one of the underlined plugins, and copy your (unzipped) plugin in the same directory. Activiation after restart.
-b- if no plugins installed, click on one of the textures, go one (1) directory up, and create there the directory "plugins". Copy the (unzipped) plugin there. Activiation after restart.

Re: Plug in RotateHome
I'm on Debian. I assume Ubuntu works mostly the same because it's based on Debian.

From the plugins page:
copy the SH3P file in the subfolder .eteks/sweethome3d/plugins of your user folder.

The .eteks folder is hidden (because of the leading . in the name). To see it in your file manager you must first switch on Show Hidden Files from the menu. After that you can navigate to your "/home/<username>/.eteks/sweethome3d/ folder".
If the folder plugins doesn't exist you must create it. Copy the RotateHomePlugin.sh3p file to the plugins folder. After restarting Sweethome3D you should see extra options to select and rotate in the menu.

You can "install" other plugins in the same way: copy the SH3P file to the plugins folder.

Recommended "must have" plugin: AdvancedEditing
