3D Render with a Transparent Background Hi, Is it possible to do a render with a transparent background? The rendered image needs to be copied onto a page with a light grey background RGB-235,235,235. I have set the ground to use a PNG file 3000x3000 which is set to the correct grey, but because the background has slight shading and is not totally the correct grey, it is noticeable. Thanks. |

Re: 3D Render with a Transparent Background I think this is not possible without modifying the program. A possible workaround could be to set a ground color that is very different from every other color in the model, such that you can easily cut it away using an image editor such as Photoshop or GIMP. These programs don't require that you cut along the edges manually, they will find them by themselves based on the color choosen and allow to set a tolerance which compensate for the color variations introduced by the shading. They also account for antialiasing of edge pixels, so you should get very good results. |
