House "build" in step by step Is there a way to have a build of a house/construction designed step by step, LEGO style manual. i.e. first picture has toilet/pipes , press arrow left (example) go to next picture who has pipes and walls, pressleft next picture has pipes +walls + ceiling etc was thinking about creating "floors" with steps, but wondering if has some kind of future since "floors" means twiking everything if something forgoten in "Step one" |

Re: House "build" in step by step If you have programming skills you can write a plugin which changes the visibility of all home items in sequence, by the press of a button, or at fixed time step. It could also animate the entering of pieces, for example could drop them from the sky. |

Re: House "build" in step by step Use levels (i.e. 'floors'). Even if you have to modify something in a previous level you can change that with no problem. You can even add levels and reorder them afterwards or move furniture from one level to another. By making each level the only visible one one-by-one you see the steps and by making them all visible you see the complete house. You can't step between the levels with an arrow key and make the selected one the only one visible. To achieve that you would need what Daniels118 suggested: a new plugin that offers a function to cycle through the level tabs and make the selected one the only one visible. It does sound like a useful function if you quickly want to check each level separate from the others. Maybe even have the option to freeze selected levels so they always remain visible when you cycle through the tabs. You could of course export each level to an image and create a booklet like you get with LEGO. Since you have the source for the images it's easy to create a new image if you changed something. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
