Cannot get ceiling to follow sloped walls I've been through the tutorial a few times. I can't get it to work. The ceiling continues horizontally over the sloped "room." ![]() I've searched and searched. It always seems to come back to "check the tutorial." I've installed all the required plug-ins (so far as I know). What else? Thanks! ---------------------------------------- DaveLab Somewhere in western Massachusetts |

Re: Cannot get ceiling to follow sloped walls Switch off "Display ceiling" for the room. This will switch off the horizontal ceiling that looks like an artifact. You will have to add a roof to get a new ceiling. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |

Re: Cannot get ceiling to follow sloped walls By default, ceilings are flat in recent versions of Sweet Home 3D. Unselect the option Flat ceiling only in the room modification dialog box and if the result isn’t satisfying, follow Keet’s advice. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Cannot get ceiling to follow sloped walls Turning off "flat ceiling only" was the ticket. Didn't even know that option existed. It was apparently enabled by default. I suppose this came along after the tutorial came into being. What a PITA. Sorry to swear. Thanks! And Merry Christmas (if you're of that persuasion)! ---------------------------------------- DaveLab Somewhere in western Massachusetts |
