Re: Can't view the background images At the second step, did you enter the length of the drawn line in real life, meaning a value greater than 100 if unit is still centimeter? Sometime some users enter the length measured on the screen on the paper, and the resulting scale is too small. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Can't view the background images Dweep: Why not try this: save your file using Save --> Save and Compress and post it online (e.g. at www.mediafire.com). Then post a link on this forum so we can inspect your file. Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Can't view the background images Once I understood your plan indicated distances in millimeter, I had no problem creating it... ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Can't view the background images Dweep & Emmanuel: Dweep: If you follow this link you can download an "empty" file with your drawing set as background image. Emmanuel: There seems to be a bug in the latest beta. When drawing a wall it isn't possible to edit it. I found out when importing Dweep's PNG as a background image. I then checked with an older design of my own. I even restarted the computer but couldn't edit the walls anymore. I then tried to revert to an older beta, but without succes. I hope you have a solution :-) Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Can't view the background images Hans, I just tried in the current Beta to modify walls with Plan > Modify walls... menu item, its shortcut or with the mouse in Selection mode, and I had no problem. Could you describe the exact sequence of the bug you found? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Can't view the background images Emmanuel: After opening v2.3b5 I draw a straight wall, then do a right-click to edit its features. No window opens. I then try Plan --> Modify walls and no window opens. I close v2.3b5. I open it again and load one of the Brad Pitt houses. The program crashes while loading. I repeat the procedure and get another crash. I then try the Sosnowksi house (see gallery for all these houses) and again the program crashes. I shall now restart my PC and see if things are better. To be followed... Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Can't view the background images Emmanuel: Part 2: I restarted my PC and only started my chat-client, NO Firefox, to have the system as clean as possible. I started v2.3b5 and drew a wall. It was possible to edit it. I opened an existing file, and no problem editing the walls. I then clsed SH3D again. I restarted SH3D, and in File --> Preferences I set the measurement to millimeters. I then tried to import an image as a background, but that didn't work. It seems as if the "bug" is triggered by the mm-setting. Maybe it is in some way connected with the three digit thing, or the max size = 9999 thing?? When I close SH3D and restart again, change the measurement to meters, I can import a background image without problems.
