Installation of Sweet Home 3D on a Mac I downloaded the Sweet Home 3D 2.2 Installer version. To install it, I clicked on the .dmg file to expand it, then dragged the Sweet Home 3D 2.2 application folder to the desktop. When I clicked on the application in this folder, it bounces on the Dock for a very seconds, but does not open. However, when I click on the application in the folder on the .dmg file it does open and can be used. I download Sweet Home again and the same thing happens. My system meets the System Requirements for Sweet Home 3D. I ran Mac Software Updates and my system files are all up-to-date. What am I missing? How can I run Sweet Home 3D 2.2 from the Desktop and not from the .dmg file? Do I need to download other files to install and use this application? What are they? Where are they? Thank you for your help. --- Operating System: Mac OS 10.4.11 |

Re: Installation of Sweet Home 3D on a Mac I never heard about such a problem. Some information that will help me to fix this bug may appear in the console. Could you try this, please? 1. Launch Console program found in /Applications/Utilities folder and click on "Clear display". 2. Launch Sweet Home 3D and import a piece of furniture. 3. When the bug happens, console program should display some new text. Please select that text and copy paste it in a comment here. Thank you for your help. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Installation of Sweet Home 3D on a Mac Thank you for your prompt reply. I followed your instructions in number one above: Launched the Console program and clicked "Clear Display". However I could not Launch Sweet Home 3D. When I clicked on it, it bounced on the Dock for a few seconds but did not open. Below is the message from the Console Log: Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 (Build 8S165) 2010-02-11 15:47:20 -0800 2010-02-11 15:47:21.521 HPEventHandler[232]: DebugAssert: Third Party Client: ((__null) != m_lock && 0 == (*__error())) Can't create semaphore lock [/Volumes/Development/Projects/HP/MacRubens_Branch/mac-aio/core/HPEventHandler/Sources/HPTMNotificationManager.cpp:59] 2010-02-11 15:47:22.380 SystemUIServer[94] lang is:en [LaunchRunner Error] The main class "com.eteks.sweethome3d.SweetHome3D" could not be found.
