Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
Hi, I would like to make my own 2D furniture collection like in this link: https://embed-3dwarehouse-classic.sketchup.co...3a17e2c922/2D-FLOOR-PLAN- SYMBOL

Is there a procedure for this?

The only 2D furniture symbols I found are these:

http://www.sweethome3d.com/blog/2017/12/08/ad...ntributors_libraries.html

and this is unfortunately insufficient.

Thank you

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
In this thread dorin explains how he created his 2D symbol library.
Also read my remarks in this thread because the Furniture Library Editor now has features that avoid the need for manual editing of files.

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
Thank you Keet. Now, I´m able to create my own 2D furniture.

I just have a problem with window and door. Pls see the attachmet. When I create a door and add them, it looks like white squere in 2D preview.

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
I'm not sure what the cause is of this. I can only guess that it is the result of the topview with sashes. Basically a 2D symbol is an image applied to the top of an invisible box. The lines for the sashes are very thin, so thin that they might get lost resulting in a white square. As I said, I'm just guessing here. Like other 2D symbols the image set as the plan icon should show in your 2D view.

Check the image, set it as the texture on the top of a normal box and see how it shows in your 2D view. What you see there is what your 2D symbol should look like. (Make sure you have set your preferences for "Room rendering in plan" to "Floor color or texture" and "Furniture icons in plan" to "Top view".)

Not sure where to set "Room rendering in plan" to "Floor color or texture" and "Furniture icons in plan" to "Top view". I can´t see it under preferences.

Pls see png with door (it's thick enought I think)

And also printscreen from furniture editor:

Should I setup some more options there?

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
Don't check the "Door or window" checkbox. It's a 2D symbol, not a door or window.
Compare the settings to other 2D symbols and make sure that besides the width and depth everything else is the same.

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
I can´t see it under preferences.

It's the SH3D preferences NOT the FLE preferences.
About the doors and/or windows 2D representation.
As you could see I've not made a 2D Symbol for that because the SH3D have it by default. Truth is not exactly how I want but...
So, my suggestion in this case, is to add to your library few 3D doors and widows with your custom representation of sashes.
You will have to manually edit for each one.
I've seen you've already have set
doorOrWindowWidthDepthDeformable=false

If you will modify also other parameters like:
doorOrWindowWallThickness#16=25
doorOrWindowSashXAxis#16=2 130
doorOrWindowSashYAxis#16=25 25
doorOrWindowSashWidth#16=63.5 63.5
doorOrWindowSashStartAngle#16=0 180
doorOrWindowSashEndAngle#16=-90 270
for a double door or window probably you will have the desire result.

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
Hi, I still can't create windows and doors correctly.

The procedure I chose is shown in this image:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nMadq24yfXjxIU_KNpKA05HP2CbRj_er/view

When I add furniture to SH3D, the display doesn't work like with classic windows and doors. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong in the furniture editor? Thank you

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
The planicon doesn't work for doors and windows. This could be considered a bug but I think there is a logical, technical reason for it.
You can try to display a 2D symbol on top of your window.

Re: Create my own 2D symbol furniture set
Unfortunately I don't understand what to do. Here are both 2D symbols, can you prepare them properly for SH3D so that they appear as windows and doors in the 2D view? Thank you very much.
