Coloring wall problems I'm a new user and have what I consider a newbie question. I have searched, but can't find any solution. My questions are: 1. Why is the half of the end of the short wall green (Nr 1)? 2. What is best practice to color the end of the short wall in one color? 3. Why is the top of some of the walls colored. (Eg. Nr 2) <img src="https://i.ibb.co/CWh3TnT/Skjermbilde-2025-01-14-235814.png" alt="Skjermbilde-2025-01-14-235814" border="0"> |

Re: Coloring wall problems Each wall can have a different color or texture for the left and the right side. This color / texture is visible also at the top and the end for the half thickness of the wall. As default the wall has neither a color nor a texture. To make the wall visible it is rendered with a light gray color. You can place a box at the end of the wall. You need to resize it to the width and hight of the wall. The thickness of the box you can scale to e. g. 1 cm. Color the box in the same color as the wall. Make a double click on the wall. In the dialog you can change the color of the top of the wall. The default Standard means that the color of the left and right side is used for half of the thickness. ---------------------------------------- MSI GP60, Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy, SH3D 7.5 with Photo-video rendering 2.8 |

Re: Coloring wall problems Another solution is to fold back the wall on itself. - use a wall half the desired thickness - give it two 90 degree angles, so it folds back - the end of the wall is now a normal wall that you can give any colour or texture Advantage: you can apply moulding and baseboards. I don't know a good workaround for the top, other than placing a box on it. ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |
