Box with label on all 6 sides I am looking for a rather simple, but different object: a box with a label on all 6 sides, where the label text is actually taken from the object's "description" property. And by the way: can I find all objects (eg. sh3d model) by giving a partial substring of its the description? Kind regards Juergen |

I can understand the approach with the six images, but the problem is different in that the description text of the box object should be rendered dynamically on the sides of the cube. I don't know whether SH3D currently supports such a feature, and I would be grateful for any solution - up to and including extensions to the Java source code. PS: I am currently porting the source code to Java21, but without WebStart (JNLP) and applets |

You can display the description but that is only on top and only in the 2D view. That display will change when you change the description. You probably want to see it in the 3D view so that is not an option anyway. Even then, it is one description for the full object, not for/on each side.There is an old wish to be able to attach a label/textbox to an object. And in such a way that it moves along with the object when you move it. Something like that could be a (partial) option for you (if you could attach multiple labels).
