Loss of info in exported OBJ
Emmanuel:

While testing the two new render plug-ins, I notice that exporting a model as an OBJ and then importing it again as furniture changes some of the characteristics of the model.

I first noticed this when I tried to export/import the Basic Lights: they don't give light anymore when imported.
Now I notice that when I export/import a window, it loses (part of) its transparency for light. You still can look through the window, but all the advanced plug-ins treat it as if it were opaque. An other possibility is that the light of the sun isn't strong enough.

The double french window is the original.
The window french double is the one that was exported/imported. If you use four of these, the room stays almost completely dark.

See the attached file.

Re: Loss of info in exported OBJ
I guess it's because the text sweethome3d_window_pane used to prefix window's pane isn't exported in an OBJ file.

Re: Loss of info in exported OBJ
Emmanuel:

Here is a "best" render of two simple rooms with on the left exported/imported French windows, and in the middle the original French windows. On the right you can see the room with the original windows.

1 - In the left room the lower part of the scene isn't rendered. This also occurred in the "fast" test-render I did.
2 - The loss of light is clearly shown in the left picture.
