Hommage to Light
Hello all :-)

To honour all the hard work of David, Frederic and Emmanuel to make the excellent Advanced Render plug-in (and function in version 3.0) I would like to share this "Hommage to Light" :-)

Google translate:
The most beautiful effect. applause

It was done with SweetHome3D?
Would be possible for you to send your file SH3D, so I study how you did this achievement?

Finally, congratulations to the staff for the excellent Render of the version 3.0

Re: Hommage to Light
Sebastien,

Unfortunately I can't send you the original file. SH3D crashed or something and the file was damaged in such a way that it could not be recovered. Therefore I couldn't submit it for the contest, so I decided to show it here.

How was it done?

Basically it is very, very simple. Two parallel walls with floor and ceiling, everything white or very light gray. The ceiling has fins, or blades of approx 50 cms high, spaced 50 or so cms apart.

Between the blades I placed approx. 150 light bulbs carefully tuned to produce this effect. Because of the large number of lights, each rendering took quite a long time.

That's how I did it in a nutshell.

Hans

EDIT: Taken away French translation

I like it Hans, thank you! smile
It must have taken ages to render?

Good work on the plug-ins pdf by the way. (in connection with that, I've sent you a little e-mail)

db4tech,

Glad you liked it. Yep, rendering took a lot of time, especially the last big ones.

Looking forward to your email (hasn't arrived yet). There's bound to be some mistakes and omissions in version 1.0 of the plug-in manual.
