Problem with 1024x1024 texture Emmanuel, Although I seem to remember that the problem with large textures was solved some time ago, it gave me problems again when trying to make my latest design. Initially I used a 1024x1024 texture for the sky, but v3.0 b14 wouldn't accept it. When I reduced it to 512x512 the problem was solved. Re: Problem with 1024x1024 texture Hans, I don't think I didn't change anything about the support of big textures. I tried to avoid consuming too much memory for texture images used more than once, but that's all. Did you check if you have a similar problem with an older version of Sweet Home 3D? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with 1024x1024 texture Emmanuel, Following are a few references to "large textures" Users interested by the Advanced rendering plug-in should upgrade to the version 1.6. It fixes a bug that stopped rendering 3D models with too large texture coordinates. - http://www.sweethome3d.com/blog/2010/08/26/sweet_home_3d_2_6_and_more.html Fixed a bug that blocked SunFlow rendering engine when a 3D model contained too large texture coordinates http://www.sweethome3d.com/history.jsp These made me think that this problem had been solved in one way or another. Re: Problem with 1024x1024 texture Miserably not. Texture coordinates are numbers stored in the OBJ or DAE file telling how to map the texture image on the 3D model. And SunFlow doesn't bear that these numbers get too big! ![]() ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
