square frame around furniture objects around most furniture pieces sh3d places a rectangular frame which looks rather disturbing in the 2d view (which is what I try to use s3hd for flats as well). How can I remove it? Is there already a way in the program? Is there a way how the top-down-view can be replaced by a manipulated bitmap of one's own? Or would this be a feature for the next version? |

Re: square frame around furniture objects David, Use Plan --> Export to SVG format and you get an image without the black squares around your models. Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: square frame around furniture objects Dear Hans, I just discovered so! Thanks for the hint... (I was replacing all doors with "unboxed" ones, stupid me) |

Re: square frame around furniture objects The square is there to show the selection zone of an object. It won't be printed, copied to clipboard or exported to SVG. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: square frame around furniture objects thanks you. By the way: Is there a way to merge rooms? There is a few cases where it's difficult to draw a figure in one go (but the hatch pattern should be contiguous and not be in two parts)? |

Re: square frame around furniture objects David, No, you can't join two ROOMS. Yes, you can join two ROOMS. In v2.6 you can't join two rooms, because in SH3D a "room" consists of a floor and a ceiling, without the walls surrounding them. If you install the Advanced Editing plug-in you can change the form of a room very precisely in any way you may want, by deleting or adding control points ("corners"). Hatching patters do not appear in rooms, but in WALLS. You cannot join two walls in SH3D. However, if you install the Advanced Edit plug-in, you can join or connect two walls, so they are one. Read the plug-in tutorial to learn more. In order to draw very large rooms, you can click the "-" magnifying glass in the menu bar. You can then zoom in and place corners more exactly by dragging them, or by entering exact coordinates.
