Pictures on the walls ? Hi I'm a total newbie. I have some images that I would like to place on the walls. How is this possible ? What would be the easiest way? Thanks! |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? The simplest way is to add a thin box along the wall, double click on it and change its texture with the image you want. Use search engines for more information, this question was already answered. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? Hi Emmanuel, Thanks for your answer. I have already tried but , somehow I cannot really align the image in the box. I tried to use the same size for the picture and the box but somehow i become only parts of my picture on the box texture. Do you have any tip ? Thanks, Liviu |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? Liviu, 1 - Give the image you want to use the exact size it should have, say 60x90 cms, using The Gimp or similar graphics program. 2 - Now import that image as a texture and give it those measures during import. 3 - Insert a box and give it those measures, then apply the texture. 4 - If the image isn't visible, exchange width and height of the box, so that the image becomes visible. Re: Pictures on the walls ? Hans, 1 - Give the image you want to use the exact size it should have, say 60x90 cms, using The Gimp or similar graphics program. How should I convert from pixels to cm ? How should I know the pixel size ? Thanks, Liviu |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? Liviu, In The Gimp use Image --> Scale image... and set to millimeters and 72 dpi. (see picture) Then enter the size and save the image. During importing in SH3D you can set the size of the texture according to the measure system you have set in Preferences. I have done all as you said but my image still starts from the middle of my box. Top and bottom is correctly aligned but as I said, it starts from the middle of my box. Any idea ? Thank you anyway ! |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? No need of The Gimp. Liviu, make your box very thin or use the opposite part of the box, because the picture on that side always starts from the top. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Pictures on the walls ? Hi guys, It finally worked very well, the problem was that i was using the wrong Box. I should have used the one from Miscellaneous Category, gray, simple and not the one from Office. Great tool, congratulations ! Greetings and thank you once more, Liviu |
