@ wrosun
@ tsukasa

There's not much information on black spots in the forum.
- This link describes a problem with black spots, but there are far more black spots than the few spots in the pictures above.
- This link also describes a problem with black spots, but unfortunately the picture is gone, so it's hard to guess what the problem was.

There are a few things worth exploring:
- which version of SH3D was used? V3.0 or an older one?
- which renderer was used? The built-in renderer or the "old" AdvancedRendering plug-in?
- if you move the model(s) a bit, do the black spots disappear? It looks as if there is a connection between the window and the vertical stripes...

Re: My apartment in 3D
may be you are right because i dont get this problem that often ...i use v 3.0 and use built in photo creation after the floor texture missing problem that was stuck to my head for months i left using advanced rendering....i did not try things you said intensionally but managed to remove those doing things here and there....

thanks!

Re: My apartment in 3D
Hum, wrosum, don't you over exaggerate a little? Version 3 is even not two months old! biggrin
May I recall everybody that the rendering at the two best quality levels is done with SunFlow, a nice rendering engine that I didn't program. So, even if time after time, I master it better and better, there are still small bugs that I can't fix easily.

*built in render

*Yeah by moving the model they dissappear.
*The dots appears only when i use the best quality rending.

@puybaret
haha may be i over exaggerated d oh ..but the thing is dat i just finished my semester end exams and was in too much pressure so thought it was months ago....what i was trying to say was that after the floor texture missing problems in advanced rendering now i use built in photo creation for the question from hans

Re: My apartment in 3D
These images are RIDICULOUS! I've just downloaded the software (for the second time I guess... the interface looks familiar) and I had no idea renderings could turn out so well. Hope mine look as good when I get going.

Re: My apartment in 3D
Sorry about that. I was awed by the quality of the rendering. This is about the best I can get out of a several thousand dollar program at the moment:

Thanks Hans for the definition; I hadn't realized there were responses in the post.

Re: My apartment in 3D
TSUKASA,
could you try to render again your images with the current version 3.1 beta and check if you get less black spots?
Thank you smile

Re: My apartment in 3D
Great looking place!
Good to see that the kitchen set that I made are being put to good use! ^_^

I see the dots but they only seem to be by the windows (and the bench in the outside scene). I don't see them any place else.

Nice video too! (I don't remember seeing any black dots in the video)

Re: My apartment in 3D
I've managed to get rid of black dots by:

  • Exporting an affected item from Sweet Home 3d in OBJ format
  • Importing the OBJ file in Blender
  • Exporting it (without a change) from Blender as Wavefront (obj) file
  • Importing this "obj" file as new Furniture in Sweet Home 3d

This worked well for Advanced photo but some dots were still present when shaders (Phong and Uber) were applied.

The car on left is original (downloaded from Google 3d Warehouse), the car on right is AFTER the export/import trick.
