Wall area is there a way to calculate the surface area of a wall (e.g. 200 ft2), and if so, can it do so excluding window/door areas? this would be helpful to estimate the amount of paint one would need to repaint a house/room/etc. |

Re: Wall area Marshall, You'll need a tape measure and a calculator. If you're looking for a feature within SH3D, maybe you can program it? Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Wall area Beyond my skill set unfortunately. Just thought there maybe some capability similar to how the floor space can show surface area. |

Re: Wall area For a feature request, have a look at the left menu here which will take you to Feature requests. And also the wishlist in the forum. There is a plugin that should calculate wall areas, although, probably not the way you want: ComputeWallsSurface. And one that calculates room perimeter. That said, I am uncertain whether such a feature will be very useful; It is relatively easy to make rough estimates of most wall areas by multiplying wall length with (average) height and deduct the areas occupied by windows. Coverage-areas given by most paint manufacturers are not very accurate anyway. ok |
