confused   HowTo create a 2D irregular furniture shape?
I like to draw a 2D image of a bed with an irregular shape. How can I accomplish that?

For 2D images you can use Inkscape, The GIMP, etc....
SH3D doesn't offer the possibility to draw lines, unless you use lang, thin boxes.

Good to know. Now is there a howto that tells me how the image needs to be to fit into SH3D? I know how to use GIMP, but haven't done anything with OBJ, DAE, 3DS or LWS files. Where should I start?

Frank,

Please, explain what you want to make:
- a 2D drawing? or
- a 3D model that you can use in SH3D?

In SH3D you can use 2D artwork as follows:
- as a texture for a furniture model
- as a texture for ground or sky
- as a background image
You do this by importing a JPG, GIF, BMP or PNG image; transparency is supported.

Models in 3D can be created by a great variety of programs: Blender, Art of Illusion, Misfit 3D, Sketchup, Sweet Home 3D, etc.
As long as you save or export your creation in one of the supported formats, you can use your models in SH3D.
