Move birds eye view? Hi, In birds eye view the point of view seems to be from the middle up, but is there a way to move it around? Sometimes I don't have a need for the 3d view, I'd just like to toss the view right or left or up or down. |

Re: Move birds eye view? No, it's not possible, it's always centered on the house middle, and won't change in the future because I want to keep the birds eye view simple to avoid beginners getting lost. But in the virtual visit mode you can choose any point of view (see help please). ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Move birds eye view? krunchyfrog, Emmanuel, i just want to make clear that the aerial view (birds eye) takes care of EVERY object in the scene. So, to "force" the camera to observe the area you would like to do it, try to place some objects (even tiny ones) to the outer edges of the scene. example: the red circles are(in fact cylinders) the borders and the box within is your home. just make some tiny(!) objects and place them on the needed corners of your view (point of view & angle), or make them invisible (e.g. grass texture). hope this helps a little... macfrog |

Re: Move birds eye view? Hi every one, I subscribe to the point that bird view has to be always centered to avoid beginners getting lost. But I noticed a big side effect : moving the center by adding some teeny object in the opposite corner (as described by macfrog) or simply enlarging the environment, it becomes impossible to zoom-in to see the center of the scene and the rooms of the house. (In the opposite, the extreme position of zoom-out function is clearly useless as it excessively reduces the scene with a large blank zone around it). So here's my request : is there a way to set the zoom range with a more pertinent factor ? (Sorry, my english is quite approximate ! I'm a frog too ! I hope you'll get what i mean. Please let me know if you don't, and I'll go back to french !) Thank you for answering me. ![]() ---------------------------------------- ---------------------- Pierre |

Re: Move birds eye view? In bird view mode, you can't get closer than the bounding box that contains all the objects in the 3D view. Sorry, this won't change. I hope you'll understand that you can't hope a modification for a feature you try circumvent. ![]() ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Move birds eye view? I hope you'll understand that you can't hope a modification for a feature you try circumvent Ok well i understand it's not possible. But who circumvent what? Excuse my french but I don't get the f*** meaning of that sentence. Kind of joke, I presume ? ---------------------------------------- ---------------------- Pierre |
