Make your own 3D objects
Today I discovered a program to make your own 3D objects: www.3dtin.com.

It works in your browser and can be used to make rather simple objects. You can export them as OBJ or DAE file. The OBJ file loses colour information, but the DAE file keeps all colour information, so that seems to be the better choice.

Check it out, and decide for yourself if it's useful.

Thanks for the tip! Looks nice smile

Note that it requires WebGL so it won't work for IE users.

Re: Make your own 3D objects
Emmanuel,

As you may know, I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 64bits on a 4 year old computer.
When using Chrome 16, the program asked for WebGL.
When using Firefox 9.0 the program worked flawlessly.

If it doesn't work under IE, that's a good reason to change to a real browser...

I am using Win7 (64bits) and the tools works fine with Chrome (no additional instalation required)

Cheers,
