not compatible application version
When starting up sweethome3d on Ubuntu Linux, with several of the plugins, I'm getting the message

Invalid plug-in jar:file:/home/apease/.eteks/sweethome3d/plugins/CopyAsNewFurniture.sh3p!/com%2Feteks%2Fsweethome3d%2Fplugin%2Fcopyasnewfurniture%2FApplicationPlugin.properties:
Not compatible application version

Could someone advise?

What version of Sweet Home 3D do you use?

Re: not compatible application version
It's version 2.6, which is the version that installs from the Ubuntu Software Center

Re: not compatible application version
Thanks Emmanuel, using the latest version solves the problem. Maybe someone could update the version in the Ubuntu repository. That will help other newcomers. Many thanks for the excellent software!

Re: not compatible application version
Well, I may have spoken too soon. I now get a JRE crash, as well as some messages about other plugins being invalid. This is all while trying to follow the "sloping ceiling" tutorial. The crash happens while attempting step 8 on page 8 of the tutorial Furniture->import furniture . I can replicate the crash.

apease@apease-HPdm:~/Programs/SweetHome3D-3.5$ ./SweetHome3D

Sorry I take care only of versions delivered on SourceForge.net. Please contact Ubuntu team directly.

Sorry for the crash, it generally means an issue with the video driver. Hope you can fix it.

Re: not compatible application version
Hi Emmanuel - Just to be clear, the current issue with the crash is with the version from SourceForge.net - version 3.5.

Re: not compatible application version
I've replicated the problem also now with both JRE 6 and JRE 7. I've reported the bug to Oracle and will let you know if their feedback indicates that any change in use of Java is needed.
