Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
Firstly, thank you so much for making this program! It is awesome - love it!

I am really new to this and also new to website (basically, self-taught in IT). So, I downloaded the SweetHome 3D Viewer 3.5 (and SweetHome Installer 3.5), designed a 3D model, "save and compress", then changed the html file and transfer it to webserver via FTP - but I can't even the test file didn't work.

It says "Can’t open home http://www.webppdp.com/TrialH.sh3d"

But I kept going and load the whole lib folder as subdirectory and the TrialH.sh3d file over the FTP - and the error is now:

"Can't start applet: Exceptionjava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError.javax/media/j3d/GraphicsConfigTemplate3D"

Can you please help?

O, and also, my web server hosts is an API server, does it make a difference?
Is there anyone in the same situation as me for Viewer 3.5?

O, and I have read through other threads with similar problems but nothing worked for me...

Also, another question, when my friends view throught their browser, do they need at least Java v7 in their OS?

Re: Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
The file in you URL http://www.webppdp.com/TrialH.sh3d can't be found. Thus I guess you didn't build correctly the URL from the server where you hosted your files, or you didn't set the file rights correctly on the server.

When my friends view throught their browser, do they need at least Java v7 in their OS?
They need at least Java 5.

Re: Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
Thanks for the prompt reply.

Sorry, the webpage is:
http://www.webppdp.com/TrialH.html

For which I changed in the html code to:
homeURL:"http://www.webppdp.com/TrialH.sh3d"};

And put the TrialH.sh3d file in the same folder as the TrialH.html

And copied the whole "lib" folder in the above folder too.

Where do I go wrong?
Thanks

Re: Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
Hi all!

Problem solved! Yay - and this is for all future users experiencing similar problems too:

Call up your website server and ask them to add .sh3d file (and .jar file too if they don't have it) extension on the server.

Basically, nothing wrong with Sweet Home 3D Viewer, it's the server that doesn't know how to read the file.

(This happens because I am with a small/cheap server)

Thanks for the program!

Re: Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
Just another general question...

I found that when exploring the 3D model over the browser is lagging when I view using my laptop, but perfect speed when I use my desktop.

Is this something to do with the graphic card?

It might be. How old is your laptop?

I think it's 2007. It runs on Windows Vista.

Just tried it on Mac yesterday - it works too! (after a quick install of Java). But still not very smooth when rotating the model...

Maybe your home contains too detailed 3D models or too numerous models like trees?
Could you send me your file so I check?

Re: Help Please! Can't load 3D model on browser
I tried the files you sent me, and under Windows 7, I noticed some performance problems in Virtual visitor mode during a 3D navigation, when the plan view is visible. As soon as you hide the plan view, the program works better. This make me think it's a problem in how the plan is updated. I'll try to check where the problem comes from.
