Wooden Beams, Roof Support etc. (Holzbalken etc.) Hello, here is a short HowTo create objects like beams, wooden substructure in old houses and so on. This time we don't use the "Box". the picture below shows the first step pretty clear: you create walls with the dimensions of the wanted structure, like 5 meters long and 20by20cm in thickness: these "walls" can be exported as OBJ and then re-imported to the furniture library in SH3D, preferably in an own category to find it back easily. Make sure, you use proper dimensions and angle while importing! macfrog |

Re: Wooden Beams, Roof Support etc. (Holzbalken etc.) Thanks :) I already did it this way for my roof rafters, figuring this would be the right way, after reading the "how to make a roof" tutorial :) Just to make this tutorial complete (for starters who don't know about it): You need to "copy as new furniture" the walls first (sh3d plugin), paste it in a new home and then export |

Re: Wooden Beams, Roof Support etc. (Holzbalken etc.) Yes kbon, i forgot to mention this :-) otherwise you're creating a "floor" panel behind those beams...wouldn't like that .... macfrog |
